Celebrate America 250 with our Education Department

Celebrate history, creativity, and America250 with a fun-filled afternoon at the History Museum of Mobile!

Explore the museum with special tours of select galleries led by the Mobile Belles Leadership Program and discover fascinating stories from Mobile’s past. Kids and families can enjoy America250-themed coloring sheets available in the atrium throughout the afternoon.

Gather for Story Time at the History Museum, happening every half hour in the atrium, featuring two engaging stories celebrating American history and culture:

The Journey of the One and Only Declaration of Independence by Judith St. George, illustrated by Will Hillenbrand | Follow the incredible adventure of America’s most important document as it travels through wars, invasions, and centuries of history to remain a symbol of freedom today.

How to Bake an American Pie by Karma Wilson, illustrated by Raul Colon | Mix together courage, liberty, and a love for America in this heartwarming and beautifully illustrated story celebrating the spirit of our nation.
